Officer Vandegevel has been employed with the Carthage Police Department since 1982. Chris has held the positions of Parking Control, and Animal Control Officer.  Since 1992 she has been a Police Officer.  She was a Designated Gang Investigator ion 1996 and is currently assigned as a Night Shift officer working 6 PM to 6 AM.  Chris graduated from Lakewood High School in California.  She has three adult children and four grandchildren.
